Centrum Europejskie Natolin (“CEN”) with its registered office in Warsaw 02-797 at ul. Nowoursynowska 84 is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy notice explains why we collect personal data, information to which we have access, how we collect and disclose data, and how we protect your data. We will use or process personal data only in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
II. Why do we collect personal data?
We collect information for the following reasons:
- recruitment on the EPTW platform and use of its resources
The legal basis for the processing of personal data for the purposes indicated in the above sections is Article 6.1.b. of the GDPR. Providing personal data is voluntary, yet necessary in order to participate in training for the ETGN management staff
The other reasons why we collect information include in particular:
- preparation of entry permits and access control;
- analysing web statistics and log files;
- computer statistics;
- organisation, management and operation of the website;
- communication and promotion of information related to the project and activity of CEN in related fields.
The legal basis for the processing of personal data for the purposes indicated in the above sections (a, b, c, d) is Article 6.1.f. of the GDPR and Article 6.1.a. of the GDPR for section (e). These actions are necessary for our legitimate interests. It is necessary for example to meet our legal obligations and our legitimate interests in maintaining CEN security. Moreover, our legitimate interest is to keep our website up to date. Please remember that we balance the impact on you and your rights before we process your personal data in our legitimate interests. You can object to us processing your personal data, although we can prove that we have valid legitimate grounds for processing your information that overrides your interests.
Information you provide to us:
We will receive from you personal data, such as your e-mail address, name, date of birth, place of birth, nationality, gender, profession.
III. Electronic newsletters
We regularly inform students, beneficiaries of various projects implemented by us and partners about our educational offers via our e-newsletter. Therefore, the collected personal data may be used by us to send you the CEN e-newsletter.
IV. Ask about our activities and / or ask for customer service
You can contact us directly using the general e-mail address or the contact form. Such personal data is provided on a voluntary basis and is stored for the purpose of processing or contacting the applicant.
V. Who processes your personal data and to whom is it disclosed?
By default, your information is not shared with other entities.
We may disclose and share personal information with our service providers who work with us to perform functions and to process user data on our behalf. For example, in the case when an event is organised jointly with a third party, relevant personal data may be shared with this third party only for institutional purposes related to the organization of the given event. We only allow external service providers to process personal data for specific purposes and in accordance with our instructions.
We may also disclose your information to third parties when we are legally required to comply with statutory obligations, such as court orders or to cooperate with bodies such as the police.
We will never sell your personal data.
VI. How do we protect and safeguard your data?
All collected personal data is processed internally only by designated employees or representatives of the College and stored on servers that comply with CEN security principles and standards.
We take appropriate measures to ensure the security, accuracy and validity of the information provided to us. We have implemented a number of solutions to ensure the security of your personal data. For example, we encrypt data, use firewalls, monitor IT systems on an ongoing basis and follow safety procedures. The Internet will never be 100% secure, but we make every effort to ensure that your personal data in our systems is properly secured. If we suspect that your privacy has been violated, we will notify you as soon as possible and we will notify any applicable regulator in case we are legally obliged to.
